Little Johanna lived with the devil by her side
Only felt that mansion home because her mother was inside
A quiet, docile woman, her mother she was such
But father didn’t care (about) Johanna much
Her father seemed to be a sophisticated man
Good taste in music and a tendency to use his hand
He used to lock her upstairs for many hours
And thought, his wife’s cries by Bach would be devoured

There is no surprise
Under notes she hides
Hate, fear and frustration
Inside Johanna thrive

Well as you may have guessed, the devil is into vice
When Bach’s fugues rule the air, he’s never nice
She doesn’t have the guts to tell him: Bastard, no!
And take Johanna out of the devil’s door
And then one day the mother yelled, she had enough
Between the violins and the raping, she got tough
She grabbed a fork and stabbed him twice on his right cheek
He choked her with his bare hands until she could not breathe

There is no surprise
She took dad’s enterprise
Cause under the dinner table
Little Johanna hides

Little did the devil know
When he dragged mama’s body across the floor
The little one was staring, in shock
And succeeded to stick a knife, low in his back

Couldn’t move at all
As the strings met the bow
She introduced the devil to the blade once and for all
